Alex Western
Founder & Managing Partner
Alex is the Founder and Managing Partner of TCP, where he leads the firm's investment activity and serves on the boards of TCP's portfolio companies. Before TCP, Alex was an investment analyst at GMT Capital, a $5 billion value-oriented hedge fund. Alex began his career as a consultant with McKinsey & Co. and as a private equity associate with Audax Group.
Alex earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and his AB from Harvard College.

John Ale
Managing Director
John is a Managing Director at TCP, where he focuses especially on TCP’s market relationships, on sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities, and on portfolio company corporate development and growth. He is a member of the investment committee. Before TCP, John was a General Partner and Investment Committee member at Noro-Moseley Partners, a software growth equity firm. Previously, he was on the investment team at Marlin Equity Partners and started his career as an investment banker at Harris Williams & Co.
John earned his MS in Commerce and BS in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia.
Kerry Edwards
Vice President
Kerry serves as a Vice President at TCP, specializing in evaluating and executing new investments, as well as monitoring portfolio companies. Prior to joining TCP, Kerry held the position of Senior FP&A Manager at FieldRoutes, a Field Service software company. Before his role at FieldRoutes, Kerry served as a Senior Operating Associate in FP&A at Francisco Partners, a leading technology private equity firm. Kerry initiated his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey.
Kerry earned his BASc in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
Sean Sy
Vice President
Sean serves as Vice President at TCP, focused on evaluating new investments and supporting portfolio companies. Before joining TCP, Sean was a Vice President at The Riverside Company, where he focused on mid-market healthcare tech and tech-enabled services investments. Earlier in his career, he was an investor at LLR Partners, a software-focused mid-market private equity firm, and an investment banker with Piper Sandler's Technology group.
Sean earned his BS in Finance and Economics from New York University.
Derek Smith
Head of Business Development
Derek serves as a Senior Associate for TCP where he specializes in business development and deal sourcing with extensive experience in the software sector. Previously, Derek was Head of BD at Ambr Group, an e-commerce hold co strategy. He was also part of the Corporate Development team at Think3 and spent time in enterprise sales at SPS Commerce, a supply chain software company.
Derek earned his BSM from Minnesota State University.
Mason Jones
Associate
Mason is an Associate at TCP, where he is responsible for executing new investment opportunities and supporting the firm’s portfolio companies. Prior to joining TCP, he was an Analyst for the control buyout arm of the JMC Family Office. He focused on healthcare, industrials, and business services. Mason began his career in Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance practice.
He earned both his MAcc and BS in Accounting from the University of Georgia with honors.
Sean Nicholson
Senior Associate
Sean serves as a Senior Associate at TCP, supporting deal origination, execution, and value creation across the companies TCP partners with. Before joining TCP, he was a Senior Associate on the Investments team at Greater Sum Ventures, and previously spent several years as an Investment Banking Associate at Janney Montgomery Scott and Truist, where he supported founder-backed vertical software and fintech businesses.
Sean earned his MAcc and BS in Accounting and Finance from the University of Tennessee and is a licensed CPA in Georgia.
Jack Plocica
Associate
Jack serves as an Associate at TCP, specializing in evaluating and executing new investments in addition to monitoring portfolio companies. Prior to joining TCP, Jack spent four years at Truist Securities with the Syndicated & Leveraged Finance team. He focused on financing transactions in the in Healthcare, Gaming, Technology and Telecommunications sectors for a range of uses including M&A and LBOs.
Jack earned his BS in Finance and a Minor in Computer Science from Wake Forest University.

Henry Fant
Associate
Henry serves as an Associate at TCP, supporting execution on new investment opportunities and value creation across the firm's portfolio companies. Before joining TCP, he was a Senior Associate at L.E.K. Consulting, where he supported private equity clients across the transaction cycle.
Henry earned his BS in Human & Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University.
Dragana Sevic
Operating Partner
Dragana serves as an Operating Partner at TCP, specializing in organizational and process design, recruiting, QA, SaaS operations, and professional services for portfolio companies. Previously, Dragana held the position of VP of Integrations at ESW Capital, a leading software private equity firm. Before joining ESW Capital, Dragana managed PMOs and IT transformations at Erste Bank, Ahold Delhaize, Schneider Electric, and Hypo Alpe. She initiated her career as an economist for Serbia Electric Power.
Dragana earned her MSc from CentraleSupelec (France) and her BS from the University of Belgrade (Serbia).
Kim Fischer
Operating Partner
Kim serves as an Operating Partner at TCP, where she leads transaction execution, post-merger integration, and operational transformation for portfolio companies. Before TCP, Kim served as Managing Director of Technology M&A and Divestitures at Wells Fargo, leading technology due diligence and post-close execution across the bank's most strategic transactions. Earlier in her career, she was Group COO of ESW Capital and held executive leadership roles in M&A, finance, and operations at Oracle, PwC, and NEC.
Kim holds an MSc from London Business School and a BA from Simmons College.
Almir Kazazic
Operating VP
Almir serves as an Operating VP at TCP, focusing on aiding portfolio companies in optimizing product architecture and software engineering. Previously, Almir held the role of VP of Engineering and Operations at ESW Capital, where he oversaw engineering efforts. Before his tenure at ESW Capital, Almir served as CTO and chief engineer at three startups: 2yourdoor, Kraftwerk, and Abalodemia. He commenced his career as a technology consultant at ITdesign.
Almir earned his MS from Wien University and Graz University (Austria) and his BS from Webster Private University.
Erdem Ergin
Operating VP
Erdem is an Operating VP at TCP, concentrating on assisting portfolio companies in optimizing software engineering processes and practices. Before joining TCP, Erdem served as a Software Engineering Manager at ESW Capital, a prominent software private equity firm. Earlier in his career, Erdem held the position of Software Engineering Manager at VeriPark. He commenced his career as a software developer and progressed to become a software architect in the Telecommunication and Call Center sectors.
Erdem earned his BS from Bogazici University (Turkey).
Krista Crane
Operating VP
Krista serves as an Operating VP at TCP, specializing in the GTM function. Prior to joining TCP, she held various leadership positions across start-up, venture capital, growth capital, private equity, and publicly held companies. In these roles, she consistently launched new sales initiatives, improved productivity, and exceeded revenue targets. Krista has also been involved in multiple successful exits and M&A activities and is recognized as a dynamic leader with a proven track record of scaling and re-engineering revenue growth functions.
Krista earned her Economics degree from Georgia State University.
Cindy Quinn
Operating VP
Cindy serves as Operating VP at TCP, specializing in agile delivery and operational execution. Before joining TCP, she spent over a decade at Delta Data Software/National Quality Review, where she coached cross-functional software teams delivering enterprise solutions for more than 20 financial services clients. Examples of such solutions included cloud migrations and enhancement delivery. Earlier in her career, she held operational leadership roles in healthcare and non-profit organizations, directing day-to-day operations and care coordination for a senior day health facility.
Cindy earned both her BA in Mathematics, Elementary Education/Special Education and her M.Ed. in Educational Research, Measurement and Evaluation from Boston College.
Matthew Weinstein
Chief Financial Officer
Matt serves as the Chief Financial Officer at TCP, overseeing operations, finance, and compliance,. Prior to joining TCP, Matt held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Walnut Grove Capital Partners, a lower middle market private equity fund headquartered in Memphis, TN. Before Walnut Grove, Matt worked as the Controller at Sunstone Partners, a private equity firm based in San Mateo, CA and business development for Imagineer Technology Group. Earlier in his career, Matt worked with several hedge funds where he was the senior accountant at Samlyn Capital, Controller with Nokota Management, and CFO at Cascade Ridge Capital. He began his career in public accounting with Rothstein Kass (now KPMG).
Matt holds an MBA from Columbia University and graduated from Villanova University with a B.S. in Accountancy and an M.S. in Accounting and Consulting. He is a licensed CPA in the state of New Jersey.
Claudia Williams
Chief of Staff
Claudia is the Head of Administration at TCP, working closely with the MD and COO to streamline operations. With previous roles at Salesforce and The Home Depot, Claudia brings extensive organizational expertise to the team. Notably, she coaches the Georgia Tech Dance Team, enriching her leadership skills.
Claudia earned her BA from Valdosta State University.
